Abstract

In recent years, the high air-tightness and high insulation of houses has progressed, the windows are closed even in the summer season, and the use of air conditioning is the premise of the current housing. On the other hand, due to the rise in consciousness of energy conservation, there are people who open the windows and introduce the outside air without using the air conditioner even in summer. When humid outside air in the summer is taken into the room, condensation easily occurs, which can cause mold. In July 2013, at the
apartment houses that is building of reinforced concrete construction in Kitakyushu city, water and mold occurred on the floor of the closet on the first floor. And the residents had moved to the third floor. It was thought that water spots occurred as result of occurrence of condensation on the concrete slab surface under the floor because residents do not rely on air conditioning in the summer but live to open windows. Therefore, in this research, we aim to introduce control ventilation by temperature and humidity and humidity control materials into this building and verify the cooling load reduction effect and the mold reduction effect in the summer.
