Abstract

This manuscript explores the use of Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) in architecture, focusing on the differing approaches of architects and engineers. Using scientometric analysis and CiteSpace visualization on various research papers, we identified distinct priorities. Architects focus on BIPV's aesthetic design and energy efficiency, aiming for sustainable and visually appealing buildings. Engineers, on the other hand, prioritize technical innovation, system integration, and performance optimization. The study highlights the contrasting research methodologies and focuses between these two professions. While architects consider both design and functionality in integrating BIPV technology, engineers focus on its technological and performance aspects. This analysis emphasizes the interdisciplinary nature of BIPV research and its varied applications in modern construction, underlining its importance in promoting sustainable energy solutions in urban architecture.
