Abstract

The environmental impact of the construction industry through the life cycle of buildings is also a complex issue. To date, a comprehensive set of strategies, techniques and assessment methods have been implemented in the construction sector. Prefabricated buildings as an effective strategy to improve the productivity of the construction industry are of concern all over the world.Thus, in recent years, many Chinese enterprises focus on the prefabricated concrete (PCa) methods. This paper gives the concept life-cycle assessment of prefabricated buildings. It aims to provide realistic suggestions for the current situation and future development direction of the methods about life cycle assessment of prefabricated construction in China. Combining with the current development of other countries’s life cycle assessment in precast construction, several advices are given
