Abstract

Air pollution in Thailand affects residents' health, particularly in northern Thailand. Chiangmai is the largest city in the north regarding economic education and tourists. Field survey studies conducted from February 2020 to June 2022 collected data on the visual perception of Doi-Suthep Mountain, taking a photo every day from February 2020 to February 2021 same time, the same place, locating the camera's shooting spot directly to Suthep Mountain and grouping the photos with eight levels of air-quality risk information. Interview residents in Chiangmai individually on their experience during air pollution season and provide a Questionnaire survey. Data on individual residents in Chiangmai City evaluate risk perception by providing a questionnaire and a representative's photo of the air pollution level in Chiang Mai. Residents in Chiangmai have been dealing with the haze situation for over a decade. 80 %of the province is mountainous, and 70% is forested. Mountains surround Chiangmai City to the east and west, which has disrupted airflow. The air pollution prevented residents from engaging in outdoor activities. The worst case is that this disaster led residents to consider relocation from Chiangmai City.
