Abstract

Based on the perspective of walking psychology, this paper studies the travel behavior of urban residents from the micro community level. Based on walking behavior psychology and walking environment perception, two levels of walking psychology were constructed: social network (psychological perception), social space (material environment). Social network assessment will study the influence of individual walking behavior psychology on walking behavior from three sub levels: personal behavior attitude, behavior control cognition and social behavior influence. Social space evaluation will study the impact of urban space on walking behavior from five sub levels: diversity, accessibility, safety, comfort and pleasure. 23 urban communities in 6 blocks in Hangzhou are selected as a case, based on 860 sample databases. Firstly, the factors of social space and social network are analyzed, and the frequency of walking is described qualitatively. Then the structure equation model is constructed, and the path relation between the variables is fitted, and the quantitative calculation of the two is carried out. The results show: (1) the built environment (social space) plays an important role in walking travel to a great extent. (2) the social network has more significant influence on the unintended travel (walking leisure) of the residents. (3) the interaction between social space and social network affects walking psychology.
