Abstract

Thermal comfort is the most influential aspect of building comfortabilty which influenced by the surrounding environmental condition. Thermal comfort is a condition of nature that affects humans and can be controlled by architecture (Snyder, 1989).Air humidity is one of the thermal comfortabilty factors whiches very important and influenced the health of human body that often underestimated. Air humidity expressed in units of percent (%)
whiches usually, the condition of air humidity inside the house will achieved a thermal comfort for human body if it reaches a number 40 – 60%. The purpose of this research is to can understand the principle and to know how important is THERB for HAM software as a guidance and a tools for future Hygrothermal environment of building analysis in architecture fields. THERB is a dynamic simulation software which can estimate temperature, humidity, sensible temperature, and heating/cooling load for multiple zone buildings and wall assemblies. All the thermal phenomena are calculated with simplification building data without decreasing validity, accuracy, and without simplification of the heat and moisture transfer principles of any building component or element.
