Abstract

The research on outdoor environment comfort of residential area is of great significance to the physical and mental health of residential population and the construction of ecological city.Based on the theories of ecology, architecture, environmental psychology and site design, the purpose of this paper is to analyze the characteristics of the outdoor environment in the hot-summer and cold-winter zone. Taking Wuyue residential area in Lin’an as an example, this paper analyzes the micro-climate of the site by graphic analysis methods, measures the thermal environment of selected places via equipment, evaluates thermal comfort of the activity space relying on the interview with questionnaires and other means.
