Abstract

Water source heat pump has been widely used as a kind of cold and heat source for energy saving and environmental protection system. In a project, to provide cold (hot) source services to a region in Fujian Province, an energy center will plan to be set up in a closed lake named The water source heat pump has become the primary choice for the installation of the energy center because of the lake. In addition to consider the selection of pipe materials and special process layout because of the corrosion of the sea water. It is also
necessary to consider the ecological impact of heat transfer in summer and winter on lake water so as to avoid the heat pollution of water. In this paper, firstly the installed capacity of seawater source heat pump is calculated. Then, the hydrodynamic simulation software FLUENT is used to simulate the effect of different scale water source heat pumps on the water temperature of this closed lake. The most suitable capacity range is selected by rational grid division and boundary condition setting, hoping to provide some reference for the water source heat pump design in other closed lake.
