jailcd2018082: Expansion Design of Hanoi’s Tube Houses

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to propose a residential building model with social and context element which is appropriate for old quarter in Asia with high population densities that also reduces cramped pattern in tube house and keeps historical value of degraded tube house during timeline development. This paper will explain an outline of porous-type residential building model in Hanoi and the design process for increasing living size because of inhabitant demand in order to improve living condition and lifestyle habit effectively. Furthermore, the effect of using living space for resident inhabitant, connected community and calculation of existing inhabitant quantity are estimated. However, upgraded environment for reduction the overloading structure and uncomfortable air quality are interested in. This article presents process of upgraded tube house. It also outlines the traditional material created abandoned images in contact with common features in old quarter context
