Abstract

How to make the elderly a sense of security in our country has become a hot issue in the fields of sociology, demography, psychology, medicine, gerontology. At the same time, the elderly population in urban is increasing rapidly compared with that in rural areas, and the problem of the aged in urban areas is more urgent.In face of the above problems, the author has analyzed a great deal of theoretical research achievements and read a full field of real cases about social home for the aged, then summarized the blind-spots and erroneous areas that existed during learning and reference, and clarified the focal points of the author's research.Community - based elderly nursing service combines the family elderly nursing system with the social elderly nursing system, which is an important means and measure to deal with the aging pressure of the population at this stage of China. It provides an effective way for China to realize the "sense of security" for the elderly. At the same time, with the development and development of the Chinese community, the community gradually provides a good carrier and support for the elderly people.As the research object, the author make a architectural case analysis of the world within the scope of a representative Community elderly building. Based on the in-depth study of the elderly group and the related architectural theories, this paper discusses the characteristics of the "community based" elderly nursing architecture, and on this basis, summarizes a series of countermeasures for the existing problems of the elderly nursing institutions,and summed up a series of solutions in different levels such as space organization, materials and equipment application and barrier free design, the design method suitable for the elderly in urban areas to satisfy their physiological, psychological
and behavioral needs, which is feasible to the construction of nursing homes in the downtown area.This paper provides some valuable suggestions for the optimal design of buildings for the elderly in China. It provides a reference for the development of the elderly buildings in the central district of the city, and contributes to the overall improvement of the quality of life of the elderly in the city.
