Abstract

The Kunsthaus Bregenz is one of the masterpieces of the famous architect Peter Zumthor. The building looks like a complete glass cube. Both the architectural form and the interior space are simple. But there are a lot of complex structures from the simple appearance. The architect uses a great deal of exquisite construction and ecological design to realize it. In the thesis, we briefly review ecological design of Bregenz museum, try to interpret the tectonic view of Peter Zumthor through analyzing the application of major climatic design principles , we can realize Zumthor how to obtain delicate ,concise effect by integration of ecology, function, technology and art and then get some enlightenment for our green building design
