Abstract

Identify heat collection effects and heating load reduction effects of a double skin structure based on numerical simulation by examining efficient heat utilization methods within a double skin space and floorplans in winter. In this report, the authors studied the heating load reduction effect using the heat from the double skin space and the temperature fluctuation of each room at the time of using the heat from the double skin space (sending air from the double skin space to the air-conditioning machine room and taking the air to the adjacent rooms). In the case of the all-day-long central air conditioning system, it was confirmed that the larger capacity of the double skin structure and not sending air from the double skin space to the danceroom demonstrated better heating load reduction effect. Sending heat from the double skin space to the adjacent room has led to temperature increase in the adjacent rooms. However, if the construction plan is to have a double skin structure only on the second floor, the house should be carefully designed, for example.by placing a living room on the second floor.
