Abstract

The concept of space activation offers a wide array of theoretical guidance for the old city renewal of spatial structure. Moreover, the technical method of space syntax provides a quantified indicator system for such wban renewal. This dissertation based on the ory and method of space syntax .has provided guantitative anaysis and interpretations for the historical and cultural city blocks of Fangtze Euro town in the aspect of convenience.accessibility,recognition and symbiosis.Meanwhile this paper put forward some feasible suggestions for the activation and renewal of the city blocks,which can also recover the vigor and vitality of it.
