Abstract

Since Chinese Reform, there has been a rapidly rise of economy growth in China and peoples’ living standard has been significantly improved. National average per person GDP grew from 9215.4yuan in 2005to 14189.5yuan in 2015. However, the rapid growth of economy caused serious energy and environment problem. Chinese final energy consumption reached 1943.49 Mtoe in 2013, which was the top of the world, and it was 20.9%% of the worlds. China formulated a series of policy and energy-efficient standards to death these problems. Japan noticed the problem about environment and energy consumption earlier, and the had formulated a set of energy-efficient systems, which had been complete and mature. In addition, China is similar in some parts to Japan, including geographical location, climatic conditions and cultural traditions This paper takes residential building standards for example to discuss the process of building energy-efficient standards and development between China and Japan, and the differences about the current standards between them.
