Abstract

To really understand the importance of Green Corridor in Indonesia, we could take an example or study case; Dicaeum Terminal is one example of many area that in need of Green Corridor. But because of the unique characteristics of Indonesia culture can't just apply a “'small green patch” between housing area and terminal another approach need to be taken here.
Some of us may say the better solution is create another park beneath these two areas, but really? Architectural research is based upon a theoretical wisdom oriented to practice, predicted by Aristotle a long time ago. The first condition is the need for new theoretical architectural theories and breakthrough trough problem. The second condition is that the specific place of research in architecture should be the research of placeness, where in the contrary a study case is needed to test the theory itself. Indonesia uniqueness typology urban kampong "kampung Kota" has also it backfire, a where environmental research, cultural research, design research ete., are tied together. Nevertheless, our aim is to show through an Survey and Research methodology that the role research ought to follow the three basic conditions pointed out above.
