Coin karaoke rooms in Korea are karaoke facilities where users pay per song. They are relatively inexpensive and can be used for short periods. Due to their lower cost compared to traditional karaoke and their convenience for casual use, they are currently popular among young people in their teens and twenties. However, despite being used by many unspecified individuals, coin karaoke often lack proper management as there are no explicit legal standards for maintaining adequate indoor air quality. This study aims to measure the indoor air quality of coin karaoke and evaluate it based on the standards set by the indoor air quality control act. It is expected that the overall indoor air quality of coin karaoke will be poor. Based on these findings, we intend to propose specific measures to improve the indoor air quality of coin-operated karaoke rooms.
