Abstract

Firstly, the numerical analysis results of air flow in the Handa canal area are described. On the turbulent model, the k-ε model is used. According to the results of numerical calculation, at the case of south wind, it is shown the wind toward the head office buildings area through the branch flow of the canal. It is clear that the wind is easy to flow on the canal, wide roads, large parking lots and the large park “Kuranomachi Park”. Secondly, the pleasure walking route around the canal is proposed considering the prevent of the summer hot environment. The area around the canal is very good place taking air ventilation and comfort wind flow. It is also thought as the meditation space to recover from the everyday working stresses.
