In Daegu Metropolitan City, the only incineration facility is 25 years old and is in a decrepit condition, making the establishment of a new facility an urgent priority. This study calculates and compares the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from transportation vehicles based on the potential locations of a new household waste incineration facility in Daegu. For the existing incineration facility, the daily GHG emissions were calculated to be 325.2 kgCO2eq. For the proposed new waste incineration facility, the estimated GHG emissions ranged from a minimum of 264.1 kgCO2eq/day to a maximum of 711.4 kgCO2eq/day, depending on its location.
