The membrane module in the membrane bioreactor can be used to retain all the biological species in the reactor, and the organic matter in the wastewater is treated in the long sludge age and high suspended solids concentration. MBR technology is mainly used in the treatment of urban sewage, purification and recycling. MBR technology has been widely used in wastewater treatment because it has the advantages of convenient operation and management, simple transformation of the old technology and so on. This paper introduces the working principle of MBR technology and its technical advantages. The effects of operation parameters, sludge age and hydraulic retention time, aeration intensity and dissolved oxygen, sludge concentration, pH value, organic loading and water temperature on the process were analyzed. And analyzed and sorted out the technical risk of MBR and the corresponding countermeasures. Finally, the research of MBR technology is prospected.
