below (PM10) by generation factor. For this purpose, we classify and take PM field measurements of one side
corridor type classrooms, the typical floor plan type, general classrooms, and special classrooms. 1) The PM
concentration in general classrooms greatly increased with student activity during class time and was affected by
outside air when the windows were opened. 2) The concentration reduction effect by the inhalation of PM was very
low when operating an electric heat pump (EHP) equipped with a conventional microfiber filter. 3) The PM
concentration in special classrooms increased more when the windows were opened than during student activities .4)
As the PM reduction effect of the EHP was low, it is necessary to strengthen window airtightness and the filter
efficiency of ventilation systems to remove PM.
