JiSMART2021—046: Low Carbon Emission Practice of Office Buildings in Cold Region: A Case Introduction of Human Settlements Environment Research Institute in Xi’an Jiaotong University

Abstract

At present, office buildings in cold region generally have higher energy consumption. Reasonable application of energy saving technology and reduction of building energy consumption has become an important issue in the process of architecture design in order to reach at low carbon emission. Many demonstration projects have been carried out to save the energy in China. This research takes an office building of Human Settlements Environment Research Institute in Xi’an JiaoTong University as the research object and make an introduction of passive technologies, assembled construction technologies and green energy saving technologies used in this building. This study also tries to compare the effects of some energy saving technologies with that in other regions. The paper will provide some references for design and energy saving renovation of office buildings in cold region.
