In the practical application of traditional solar air collector in building heating, there is a problem of mismatch between heating and demand time. In this paper, a solar air collector coupled with phase change material (PCM) module is proposed and its feasibility is studied. The thermal properties of it were tested by experiments. The results show that the daily temperature of the solar heat absorption plate of the collector can be maintained above 40℃ for 6 hours, up to 54.7 ℃, which can meet the PCM latent heat storage process in the collector; PCM in the collector starts latent heat storage at 7:20 and latent heat release at 15:00. The temperature at the air outlet of the collector can be extended for 13 hours. For Lightweight buildings, the indoor temperature at night increases by 1.0 ℃ on average and 1.5 ℃ at maximum.
