The classic Trombe wall has some shortcomings, such as low thermal resistance and reverses the thermosiphoning phenomenon. An improved Trombe wall with a temperature fan control system is presented in this paper. An insulating panel was fixed on the interior of its absorber wall. In this paper, Numerical simulations were performed using energy plus software to examine and compare the effective heat utilization methods for the normal room, the classic Trombe wall room and the improved Trombe wall room. It was found that the improved Trombe wall had a better ability to reduce thermal loads. Due to the insulating properties of the room, the room temperature drops slowly during nighttime and long cloudy days. Besides, during the daytime, the fan increases the convective heat flow from the ventilated air layer to the room, which enhances heat transfer. Overall, the improved Trombe wall with a temperature fan control system can increase the indoor temperature quickly and prevent inverse thermosiphon phenomena
