JiSMART2022—007: Ecological Renovation of Industrial Buildings from The Perspective of Urban Renewal

Abstract

Changchun is an important industrial city in China, and since the 1940s, Changchun has built a large number of industrial buildings. However, with the rapid development of China and the progressive optimization of urban functions, the industrial buildings built in the early stage will no longer meet the needs of the city in terms of functional positioning and environmental construction. The urban renewal strategy provides new ideas for the renovation of old industrial buildings. Optimization of ecological performance is an important part of the renovation of industrial buildings. In this manuscript, Changchun Culture of Water Ecology Park and Changtuo 1958 are selected as representative industrial building renovation cases, and by comparing the ecological characteristics and utilization status of the case before and after the renovation, the ecological renovation methods suitable for old industrial buildings in Changchun City are proposed. The renovation method proposed in this paper will provide a theoretical basis for architects to carry out urban industrial building transformation.
