Abstract

The northern coast of China has a long coastline, which is dotted with many cities featured by coastal tourism. However, the coastal landscapes of these cities are generally characterized by uniformity and lack of attractiveness, especially in autumn and winter, which is rarely visited by tourists. There are two main reasons: the low climate friendliness of coastal space, the low attraction of landscape facilities and sketches. In order to enhance the landscape vitality of the northern coastal tourism space, especially the winter vitality, Qingdao which is the typical northern coastal city is taken an example.The factor analysis method and the field research method were used.The factors affecting the vitality of the northern coastal tourism space landscape were obtained.The indicator system of the northern coastal tourism space landscape dynamic were constructed. There are 6 main factors which affect coastal tourism space landscape vitality. They are accessibility, culture, natural, safety, functionality and comfort. The research could provide some suggestions that are helpful for the design and reconstruction of the northern coastal tourism space landscape.
