Abstract

With the opening management of the major city parks and the introduction of the latest documents of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the park walls, which are the inherent scope of park, have been unable to meet the needs for the times. Taking the spirit of the central document as a starting point, this paper takes Zhushuishan Children’s Park as an example, we conducted on-the-spot investigations on the use of the population, the current situation on the ground, and the surrounding environment, from the perspective of public participation, this study analyses the current situation of the wall of Qingdao Zhushuishan Children's Park through the combination of theory and practice. In addition, analyses the necessity of demolishing the wall combined with the statistical analysis of the survey data, based on the professional level. Furthermore, we proposed several main
forms of wall design. The problem of removing walls from parks reflects that public participation is an effective means of solving many social problems. We should solve the real needs of the urban residents and the management of the park garden management department, so as to improve the public participation and promote the coordinated and steady development of urban construction.
