jismart2019008: Research on the Ways of Improving Space Utilization Efficiency in Japanese Modern Small-sized Residences

Abstract

With the continuous development of urbanization, the expansion of China's urban population has led to the soaring of urban land prices, which has brought greater pressure on home buyers to ordinary urban residents. Compact, small-sized homes are designed to reduce the area while ensuring the integrity and high quality of their functional use may can be a way to solve housing problems in the city. Japan is a leader in the practice and exploration of compact small-sized homes. This paper selects several small-sized residential cases in Kitakyushu, Japan as an analysis object to analyze how to realize the efficient use of space from the aspects of function integration and space utilization; on the other hand, it verifies the livability of the house through the simulation of passive analysis software. The research in this paper is willing to provide certain experience and reference significance for the future development of efficient and compact housing in China.
