Abstract

Art centers began to appear in the United States in the 1950s. Since the 21st century, the design of art centers has become a hot topic in Chinese architecture. In recent years, the types of coastal architecture have emerged in endlessly, which plays a vital role in the development of Qingdao coastal area. This series of design activities not only promote the development of marine architecture, but also greatly promote the development of coastal architecture. This paper deeply analyses the development characteristics of modern coastal architecture in Qingdao, takes cultural architecture as the breakthrough point, analyses the problems and contradictions in the development of coastal cities, and develops a series of designs in the direction of coastal art center, in order to enrich and develop the types of coastal architecture and enhance the public culture spirit. At the same time, for the future development of a vibrant coastal cities, it gives some suggestions and prospects.
