Abstract

An architectural space, architects can introduce natural light to meet the functional requirements of lighting, energy saving, health care, heating, etc through the design of different window Spaces. However, it is far from enough to only meet the functional requirements of architectural space. Architects should also devote themselves to shaping the psychological space atmospheres and try to convey their emotions and thoughts to people by shaping space atmosphere, which is also the true meaning of architecture. Through the changing effects of natural light such as strength, light and shade, the building presents different expressions. Architects can render different
space atmospheres such as sublime, psychedelic and profound, so that people can feel the charm of art in the architectural spaces. This paper analyzes the atmospheres created by the light and shadow in the window space and summarizes the design principle of "light and shadow" in the psychological level.
