Abstract

Building shading systems are important means of insulation and have strong potential for energy efficiency, which have been widely used in buildings. This paper briefly discusses the importance of architectural shading systems. Author divides them into three categories: fixed shading systems, glass shading systems and adjustable shading systems, and reviewing their role in buildings respectively. It can be expected that dynamic shading is realizing the ecological architecture.
