jismart2020032: Field Survey on the Thermal Sensation of Rural Residents in Sichuan Northwestern Plateau

Abstract

It is significance to research the thermal comfort and thermal adaptation of people living in different regions and climate zones for building energy-saving design and improving indoor thermal environment. In this paper, a village located in Sichuan Northwestern Plateau was investigated. By field measurement and questionnaire survey, the indoor thermal environment in winter and sensation of it of local residents were obtained. this paper found: (1) The thermal resistance of local residents in winter is generally high, which is between 1.5clo to 1.9clo; (2) Local residents generally adopt methods such as adjusting clothing and using electric stoves to adapt to the cold weather; (3) Generally speaking, residents are satisfied with the current indoor thermal environment in winter, but still hope that the indoor temperature can be higher.
