jismart2020037: Research on the Climate Adaptability Construction Strategy of Seaweed House in Jiaodong

Abstract

As a product of historical and cultural accumulation, traditional local dwelling houses are climate adaptable buildings built using simple and practical construction techniques, combined with local natural climate and customs. Based on the meteorological data in Chengshantou, this paper combines Weather Tool software to research and analyze the climate of Jiaodong and the climate adaptability of seaweed houses, seeking replicable energy-efficient design strategies for seaweed houses. The results find that the seaweed composite roofs and walls,thermal mass effects, night ventilation, passive solar heating, and direct evaporative cooling are effective energy-saving measures.
