Abstract

The use of retro-reflective materials on the outer surface of the building can reduce the absorption of solar radiation on the surface of the building, thereby reducing the temperature of the outer wall surface and saving the energy consumption of air conditioning in summer. Moreover, this material with the characteristics of reflective direction can weaken the surrounding The heating capacity of air alleviates the heat island effect. This article summarizes the measurement methods and applications of retroreflective materials reflectivity and retro-reflectivity in recent years. Retroreflective materials have great potential as new building reflective materials in the context of urban heat islands. Understanding its testing methods can guide architects to consider how to better use this technology.
