Abstract

solar air collectors have become the focus of attention due to their unique advantages in engineering applications such as chemical drying. This review evaluates the performance of flat-plate solar air collectors based on theoretical and experimental results, mainly from two aspects: energy analysis and exergy analysis. In indoor tests, the energy and exergy efficiencies of flat-plate solar air collectors ranged from 30% to 79% and from 8% to 61%, respectively. In outdoor tests, the energy and exergy efficiencies of flat-plate solar air collectors range from 28% to 62% and from 30% to 57%, respectively.
