In the past, there are many problems in urban thermal environment research, such as high dependence on climate, single experimental conditions and incoherent data link. This study aims to improve the research methods of urban heat island and improve the convenience of analysis methods. This paper systematically reviews the development and application of infrared remote sensing and multiple terminals technology in urban heat island research. The framework of urban heat island research technology based on infrared remote sensing and multiple terminals coupling is constructed, and the feasibility study is carried out with a case study. The study shows that the technology has great application potential in the field of urban microclimate research, and can effectively provide theoretical and data support for relevant subjective and objective research.
