Abstract

Primary school students, as the main users of the primary school classroom, participate in the visual behavior of listening to lectures and learning in the classroom, and the visual behavior of reading books accounts for 60% of the daily learning time. The classroom light environment directly affects the visual comfort of students. Through the field investigation of primary school classrooms, it is found that students have low satisfaction with desktop illumination. In order to improve the comfort level of students reading, the experimental method combining subjective questionnaire and objective physiological index measurement was adopted for primary school students in the classroom. The peak value of subjective visual comfort score and state arousal level both appeared at 800lx, and it was concluded that the most comfortable desktop illumination value range for primary school students should be 700lx-900lx. This study provides reference for the research of light environment in primary and secondary school classrooms.
