Abstract

The construction of child-friendly cities carries the people's yearning for a better life and is an important area and basic requirement for building park city demonstration zones. Currently, the construction of child-friendly cities in China has risen to an unprecedented strategic height, but it still faces problems such as "lack of evaluation standards, imbalance of space supply and demand, and waiting for improvement in implementation guarantee". It is urgent to explore systematic planning methods for child-friendly cities from the perspective of cities. The research takes the concept of park cities as the guide, focuses on the fields of children's behavior psychology and space planning, and draws on innovative practices in Beijing, Shenzhen and other places to explore a comprehensive planning method based on the four major needs of children: "protection, play, learning, and mobility", with "child-friendly evaluation system, facility configuration standards, space design guidelines, and construction implementation guarantee" as the core content. Taking the Chengdu Tianfu New Area as an example, empirical research is conducted in order to provide a systematic and operational planning reference for the construction of child-friendly cities with park city characteristics.
