Green tourism, Grey correlation, Coupling coordination degreeAbstract
With rapid economic expansion and a large domestic market, the tourism industry saw a 152% revenue increase from 2012 to 2019. Concurrently, as quality of life improved, attention to tourism's environmental impact intensified, leading to the rise of "green tourism," which balances environmental sustainability with economic growth. This study utilizes economic big data and advanced analytical methods from 2012 to 2022 to investigate the relationship between green tourism and the social environment. Key indicators of green tourism, such as air and water quality, show a strong correlation with societal well-being metrics, including urban development and living standards. The degree of coordination between these indicators has significantly increased, moving from low to high levels of coordination. The research emphasizes the positive impact of policy initiatives on the sustainable development of green tourism and provides substantial support and insights for informed policy-making in this industry.
