jismart2024048: The Characteristic of Riverside Heritage Facades in Shaping City’s Identity - Part II
Keywords:
Riverside architecture, Kalimas River, Multicultural Integration, Architectural CharacteristicAbstract
During Indonesia's Dutch colonial era, Kalimas was a port area, making it a multicultural area. Interestingly, these disparate cultures coexist and form a highly integrated region. We attempt to describe selected buildings along Veteran Street, Jembatan Merah Street, Rajawali Street, and North Kalimas Street in this research. In order to recommend the better integration of new structures in this location, this research aims to characterize the varied culture of the Kalimas River face and the architectural responses that have been done in the past. Future risers can use this information as a reference to further identify the facade.
