Abstract

In recent times, water environmental pollution and treatment issues have attracted much attention. As people eagerly look forward to the "clear waters," reports of numerous emerging contaminants detected in water environments have frequently emerged. The study of the occurrence and environmental behavior of emerging contaminants in water environments has become one of the hotspots in the field of environmental protection science. This article is based on the data reported in the literature to comprehensively analyze the spatial distribution and compositional characteristics of emerging contaminants in water. It explores the main sources of emerging contaminants in water environments, and looks forward to the future research direction in this area.
