JiSMART2021—014: Analysis on Influencing Factors of Spatial Vitality of Taidong Pedestrian Street Based on Multi-source Data

With the rapid expansion of the city, various new commercial formats are emerging in the city. As the only uninterrupted commercial block in Qingdao for 120 years, Taidong pedestrian street in Qingdao is the commercial pedestrian street with the largest passenger flow in Qingdao. Taking Qingdao Taidong pedestrian street as the research object, based on multi-source data, this paper makes a spatial analysis on the spatial vitality of the street, as well as the three built environments of street development intensity, traffic accessibility and functional diversity, and explores the influencing factors that Taidong pedestrian street can continue to maintain its vitality under the background of the rise of various emerging commercial formats in recent years. In view of the problems existing in the current situation of the block, this paper puts forward improvement suggestions such as improving traffic accessibility, controlling development intensity and improving public service facilities, so as to further enhance the vitality of the block.
