JiSMART2021—017: Structure, Benefits and Management Evaluation of Street Trees in Badaguan Scenic Area

Abstract

Street trees, as an important part of urban green space, have made great contributions to the construction of urban street environment and human settlements ecological environment. Through the investigation of 1291 street trees in Badaguan Scenic Area, we analyzed the quantitative characteristics, age structure and health status of street trees.I-Tree tool was used to estimate the total ecological benefits of street trees and compare the ecological benefits of different tree species, including energy-saving benefits, storm water runoff reduction benefits, air pollution removal benefits, carbon storage benefits and aesthetic benefits. Based on the results of cost-benefit ratio of street trees in Badaguan Scenic Area, reasonable suggestions were put forward for the management and conservation of street trees in Badaguan Scenic Area, which provided a theoretical basis for the establishment and development of the overall management system of street trees.
