Historical and cultural blocks have rich spatial forms. Protecting the spatial structure of historical and cultural blocks in tourism development is an essential issue in current development. The spatial arrangement of historical and cultural blocks are important links connecting other elements. Whether the setting of space is appropriate will affect the spatial structure of historical and cultural blocks and tourist attractions. Based on previous studies, this paper chooses Kuanzhai Alley, one of the historical and cultural blocks in Chengdu, China, as the research object. Based on the convex polygon segmentation method in space syntax analysis, we attempt to deeply analyze the influence of the spatial form of historical and cultural blocks on the vitality of blocks through mathematical derivation and theoretical research, namely, Connectivity, Intelligence, Integration three main influencing variables. Finally came to the conclusion: 1. The high intelligibility of Kuanzhai Alley makes it difficult for tourists to derive novelty from spatial changes. 2.it is necessary to study their spatial configuration in depth for the protection of historical and cultural blocks. 3. The pressure brought about by the compact distribution of spatial forms can be relieved by adjusting the distribution of business forms.
