JiSMART2021—026: Data Analysis of Urban Development in Anhui Province

Abstract

This paper constructs the new urbanization quality measurement index system from six dimensions, including economic development, population development, urban infrastructure, environmental protection, social development, and urban-rural overall planning, and uses entropy method to measure the new urbanization quality of 16 cities in Anhui province and rank them according to the index value. The geographical distribution of newtype urbanization quality is higher in the east and lower in the west. Sixteen cities in Anhui province were divided into four categories: high quality urbanization area, high quality urbanization area, medium quality urbanization area and low-quality urbanization area.the significance of the study is that we find a new way to measure the quality of urbanization. for the future，it can provide an important reference for further research.
