Abstract

The popularization of renewable energy is an important measure for solving the global carbon emission reduction problem. Despite the huge energy saving potential of renewable energy, its promotion is very slow due to the instability of its power generation. This paper proposed a virtual power plant (VPP) model consist of update high efficiency appliances, photovoltaic and energy storage systems. And presented a comprehensive analysis for assessing the energy saving potential deriving from the VPP. VPP works as an aggregator with various distributed energy systems instead of several separate unit. The results show that VPP shows good energy-saving effect and effectively improves the energy self-sufficiency rate of the region.
