JWACA2025-008: Reconstructing Dining Spaces on College Campuses——Design practice of cafeteria buildings in new perspectives

Abstract

With the development and construction of college cafeteria and the gradual diversification of functions, it is no longer a simple dining place, but a comprehensive building integrating a variety of functions into one. The article takes the campus cafeteria design as an entry point, and proposes that the campus cafeteria design in the new period should focus on reconstructing the dining space and intervening in the campus activities, and the functional form has gradually changed from the traditional single to the composite multiple. This article through the Henan University of Technology cafeteria design interpretation, combined with new design concepts, for the design of the new university cafeteria to provide a few practical feasibility of the solution ideas.
