JWACA2025-019: Oct Shan Art Center

Abstract

Located in Wuhan, this building draws inspiration from the local metasequoia forest, abstracting its form into the façade and spatial design. Using fritted glass and a slender tree-like steel structure, the architecture blurs the boundary with nature while providing solar shading. The design combines artistic expression with technical performance, incorporating siphon drainage and energy-efficient glazing to enhance comfort and sustainability.
