Abstract

This article examined the challenges of urban heritage protection in the context of green development. It discussed the importance of sustainable urban planning and the need to integrate heritage conservation with modern urban development. The author critiqued the trend of large-scale demolition and reconstruction in urban areas and advocates for a more nuanced approach that respects historical context and environmental sustainability. The article also explored international best practices in urban heritage management and their potential application in China.
