Abstract

Mr. Bao Jiasheng has long been dedicated to the forefront of teaching and research, serving as a pioneer in architectural education and an active advocate for educational reform. He is a recipient of the State Council Special Government Allowance and has held positions such as Chair of the National Steering Committee for Architectural Education in Higher Education Institutions and Vice Chair of the National Accreditation Committee for Architectural Education in Higher Education Institutions. Mr. Bao established several architectural models, including "Support Housing," "High-Efficiency Space Housing," "Open Architecture," "Open Library Architecture," and "Modular Library," and was honored with China's first Architectural Education Award. The interview was initiated by Professor Wang Xingtián, Vice President of the World Chinese Architects Association, and centered on topics such as the founding of the Association, the future of the architectural profession and education, and expectations for young architects. The interview transcript was compiled by Hou Keming and Piao Xun, and subsequently reviewed by Mr. Bao.
