JWACA2024-023: Hangzhou esports center

Abstract

The Hangzhou Esports Center is a pioneering venue designed to host professional esports competitions. Located in the Gongshu District of Hangzhou, the center features a futuristic design inspired by celestial motion and gravitational forces. The building's exterior is clad in a unique double-curved aluminum skin, and the interior includes state-of-the-art facilities for broadcasting, audience engagement, and athlete support. The center's design emphasizes sustainability, with features such as a sunken plaza, green roofs, and energy-efficient systems. The project also includes an elevated pedestrian walkway that connects the venue to surrounding parks, promoting public access and engagement.
